Dot to Dog
Dot to Dog was designed and painted by professional artist Clarke Reynolds, who is one of our artists with sight loss.
Design summary
About his design inspiration, Clarke said, "Dot to Dog was inspired by the colour blindness tests. Embedded in the design is the braille alphabet raised in acrylic domes. A visual madness but when touched you will discover the dog’s secret."
Sensory items
We asked our artists to come up with a scent and a touch item that relates to their design to give a multi-sensory perspective to their concept. Some of these items will be incorporated into our sighted guide and sensory tours. Clarke's sensory items are:
- Touch item: A sheet of braille, relating to the braille alphabet which is hidden among the dots in the design.
- Scent item: A clinical smell, associated with the clinical environments where colour blindness and other tests are often conducted.
