Celebrities have been revealing their childhood dream jobs and pictures of themselves when they were young in support of Guide Dogs’ ‘Every Dream Counts’ campaign.

Children and young people with vision impairment tell us they want to grow up enjoying the same opportunities as their classmates. But all too often, they are being let down by the education system that fails to give them the support they need.

Guide Dogs’ Canine Science Team is trialling a new way of understanding puppy personalities. The project, called Puppy Cognition, assesses a seven-week-old puppy’s reactions to a set series of games, objects and human interactions, called tasks.

We’ve had fantastic feedback about our Name a Puppy scheme over the years, but with technology progressing, and our services expanding, we wanted to reflect this and we’re really excited to be launching our reinvigorated scheme.

New research released by Guide Dogs has revealed that two in three primary and secondary school teachers lack confidence in teaching children with a vision impairment.

Guide Dogs has released a new video sharing different ways that visually impaired people undertake day-to-day kitchen tasks without having a full range of vision. From systems to navigating kitchen storage, chopping safely to boiling the perfect rice, it turns out sighted people could learn a thing or two from the visually impaired.

More than 200 people ran for Guide Dogs in the London Landmarks Half Marathon at the weekend including our very own Chief Executive, Tom Wright.
