This year, as our need to grow the Guide Dogs family remains, we are taking part in ‘The Big Help Out’- an initiative from King Charles’ coronation celebrations for the public to get the opportunity to help out in their local communities.
Our involvement is simple; we are hosting welcome events all around the UK to give those new to volunteering a taster of what it’s like to be a member of the Guide Dogs family, from Fosterers to Fundraisers and more. You, your family, and friends are all welcome to join us.
Everyone is welcome – whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or completely new to volunteering or just want to find out more, please come along to your local event! From children’s activities to interactive My Sighted Guide experiences and dog demonstrations, there is something for everyone – and you might even get to meet a guide dog.
Guide Dogs is hosting events all over the UK in May (from the 9th onwards). For details of your local events, look us up on The Big Help Out website or app or join your regional volunteering at Guide Dogs facebook pages where the teams will be sharing all the details:
If you are an existing volunteer, details of events are also available on the Volunteer Information Point.
