STEM projects

There’s a lot of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) that goes into creating a guide dog partnership. We use science to help us breed strong healthy puppies, our guide dog owners use technology to get out and about, all of our harnesses and equipment are made using in-house engineering and we use maths to manage our breeding programme and all of our costs and donations.

Five - 12-year-olds

  • Make Sense, a fun way for your pupils to learn about the senses through play
  • Guide dog partnerships, how science and technology are used to create successful guide dog partnerships

13 - 16-year-olds

  • Inclusive Cities, a tech project aimed to make cities more inclusive for people with a vision impairment
  • Why do we use dogs? A tech project that investigates artificial ‘guide dogs’ or guiding solutions
