At the end of the trail, the decorated sculptures will be sold via public auction to raise money in aid of Guide Dogs.

Our online auction is now live until 4 June. You can bid for your favourite Canary Wharf canine. Your bid will then enter our in-person event on 5 June, so make sure you enter your maximum bid or select the 'buy it now' price to secure your four-legged friend. The minimum bid value is £2,500 + VAT. You can find out more information by visiting our auction page.

The sculptures will be located in Canary Wharf and the Tower Hamlets borough. Details of the sculpture locations along with directional information will be available on the Paws on the Wharf website closer to the trail live date. 

A free downloadable trail map will be available shortly. Keep a check on the website for when it goes live.

You can pick up a free printed trail map from the following locations:

• Our pop-up shop during our events - see the events page for when these are happening
• Canary Wharf - One Canada Square 24/7 reception - maps available from Monday 25 March
• Canary Wharf - Minigolf at Montgomery Square (open 12pm - 6pm daily - but may be closed in extreme weather conditions - maps available from Monday 25 March

We will also be holding bookable sighted guide and sensory tours if you would like support navigating the trail. Bookings opening soon.

The total trail distance is approximately five and a half kilometres, or in the region of approximately 6000 steps. 
However, the trail has been designed in 'Areas'. Each Area has a cluster of sculptures. That way, you can choose to visit as many areas as you wish, in any order that you prefer.

The Areas are shown on the trail map, or you can find out details of the locations and directional information on the 'Visiting the trail' webpage.

Yes! Paws on the Wharf is a free public sculpture trail. No tickets are required, you can visit any time you wish. The sculptures will be on display 24/7 from 25 March to 17 May 2024.
Closer to the trail launch date, the website will provide more information about how and where to find the sculptures.

However, if you wish to support the trail, you can make a donation to our life-changing work on our donation page.

We made the decision not to develop an app for this trail, as the cost was prohibitively expensive for a one-off event. Instead, we plan to use existing accessible technology and options to help everyone navigate and enjoy the trail.

We aim to make this one of the most accessible and inclusive outdoor sculpture trails. We are looking at numerous aspects that include: 

• Accessible communications such as accessible website content, documents and social media posts
• A step-free route
• Bookable sighted guide and sensory tours - bookings opening soon
• Accessible sculpture information via the NaviLens App - find out more on our NaviLens information page
• Accessible art – five of our artists are from the sight loss community and many of the sculpture designs have tactile elements
• We are offering trail guides in large print and braille format - if you would like to order a copy, please email the team at pawsonthewharf@guidedogs.org.uk. Let us know what version you would like. Please note these may take up to five working days to arrive.

The trail is a collaboration with a number of supporting partners and sponsors.

All proceeds from the art trail will go towards supporting people with sight loss via our unrestricted funding stream. This means the money will go towards the Guide Dogs services where funding is needed most at that time. Guide Dogs is a not-for-profit charitable organisation that is wholly supported through donations from the public.

The trail is also being held to raise awareness for our work and celebrate our life-changing guide dogs. It will highlight the challenges of sight loss and drive important conversations about the importance of accessibility and inclusion.
