Marnie Maurri
We're delighted to have Marnie Maurri support our trail and paint a guide dog sculpture.
About Marnie
As a freelance artist and illustrator, Marnie describes her work as “highly detailed and focuses on the more whimsical and magical aspects of the world, often inspired by the small, simple things, like a walk in the woods or hearing bird song (nature, in general, is a great muse!). I love to mix the human and animal worlds to make it one happy and beautiful place where flowers have faces, foxes ride bikes, toadstools are tables for tea parties, and colours are technicolour-vivid.”
Working from a home studio in Worcestershire, Marnie spends her days on private residential commissions and creating pieces for her online store and illustration portfolio.
About the trail, she said, “I chose to submit designs for this trail as I've been involved as an artist on other Wild in Art trails previously, and they really are the most joyful, brilliant, and actually quite emotional projects to be part of. From design to painting, helping raise awareness for the charities involved, to seeing your sculpture in situ and seeing how the towns they're placed in really take the whole event to heart, to the final event and charity auction, it really is always such an honour to be part of.”
