Kiltwalk

Registrations are now open for Scotland’s 2025 Kiltwalk.

Don your tartan and take on an epic Kiltwalk challenge in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee or Edinburgh and change lives with every step. By walking for Guide Dogs, your support will help us to provide life-changing services to people living with sight loss.

Event details

There are a range of events at a variety of dates and locations across Scotland.

Glasgow: 26 and 27 April

Aberdeen: 1 June

Dundee: 17 August

Edinburgh: 14 September

Charity places still available

You can take part in Kiltwalk 2025 with a charity place for Guide Dogs UK. Each date has a range of distance options, from the 3-mile ‘Wee Wander’, up to the 23-mile ‘Mighty Stride’.

Sign up on the Kiltwalk website and select Guide Dogs as your chosen charity who you would like to fundraise for. Kiltwalk will then let us know you are fundraising for us.

When you don your tartan, you’ll get…

  • Fundraising Guide filled with top tips and tricks.
  • Guide Dogs t-shirt so everyone knows you are fundraising for us.
  • A pair of fluffy dog ears to wear – the perfect accessory to tartan.
  • A pair of snazzy socks to complete your look (while stocks last).

How the money you fundraise helps change the life of someone with sight loss

  • £60 could pay for an eye check by a vet for a guide dog in training.
  • £141 could buy a starter kit for a guide dog partnership, containing everything they need to start their new life together.
  • £885 could buy a birthing kit, containing all the essential equipment for a volunteer to help a guide dog mum safely deliver her puppies.
One of the really enjoyable parts is the social aspect – you get to meet lots of lovely people, you get chatting and you’ve done a couple of miles before you realise it.

Fundraising for Guide Dogs

Set up an online JustGiving fundraising page

  • Create your JustGiving page and set a target – did you know that JustGiving pages that include a target raise more?
  • Do you have a special reason for walking with Guide Dogs at The Kiltwalk? By sharing your story through your social media, you can help raise awareness of your fundraising efforts and inspire people to donate.
  • Include a link to your JustGiving page in your work email signature to encourage your workmates to show their support, or even share your JustGiving page on your socials. Don’t forget to tag us in your posts using #GuideDogsFamily to let everyone know how they can support.
  • Encourage all your sponsors to claim Gift Aid on their donations as this means even more money will be raised at no expense to you or your sponsors.

Have fun fundraising

There is no minimum fundraising target as you will be purchasing your charity place outright, however if you would like to fundraise for us and top up your sponsorship that would be pawsome!

How we’ll support you

From the moment you join the #GuideDogsFamily we’ll be here to support you every step of the way. You’ll receive fundraising support and resources you might need to help you raise life-changing funds to support people with sight loss.
