Free Will writing services
Your Will is an important document. It’s a reflection of the life you’ve lived and the values you hold. It’s your way of making sure the people you love and the causes you care about are looked after in the future.
If your wishes for your estate aren’t complex, it may be possible for you to write or update what’s known as a simple* Will for free. To make this as straightforward as possible, we’ve partnered with a number of Will writing services.
Many people who use these services choose to leave a gift to Guide Dogs in their Will, but it’s entirely up to you.
*Solicitors may have different criteria for what qualifies as a simple Will.

How to use the free Will writing services
National Free Wills Network
You can write or update your free Will in-person with a local solicitor through our partnership with the National Free Wills Network.
- Fill out our enquiry form to let us know you’d like to use the Free Wills Network and we’ll send you a free Wills pack which includes a list of your local solicitors who are taking part.
- Once you’ve received the pack, contact your chosen solicitor directly to book a face-to-face appointment at a time that’s convenient to you.
- At the appointment, please remember to bring your completed declaration form enclosed with the pack to get your simple Will written for free.
Unfortunately, this service isn’t currently available in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
Free Wills online with Bequeathed
We’ve also partnered with a specialist online Will provider, Bequeathed, so you can choose to write your Will for free in the comfort of your own home at a pace that suits you.
- Visit the Bequeathed website and follow the simple steps to register and start the online questionnaire in your own time. Expert support and guidance are available throughout the process if you need help at any point.
- Once you’ve submitted your answers you’ll receive tailored online advice. You can choose to book a free legal appointment to discuss the advice or move straight to requesting your free simple Will.
- You’ll receive your Will with a summary of the advice you’ve been given, along with instructions on signing and witnessing your Will to finalise your wishes.
