Playing a key role in the international guide dogs community, Guide Dogs is a founding member of the International Guide Dog Federation. The International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF) is an organisation comprised of member guide dog organisations from around the world. IGDF works with these member organisations on a variety of things, including accrediting members against internationally recognised IGDF standards. IGDF also facilitates the sharing of knowledge and expertise within the global guide dog industry and assists in developing new organisations in other parts of the world.

There are over 99 member schools around the world in 32 different countries.

International Guide Dogs Federation Conference 2025

Guide Dogs is proud to be hosting the International Guide Dogs Federation Conference 2025.

The International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF) comprises of almost 100 organisations from around the globe, all working to uphold standards of excellence in the breeding, raising, training and partnering of guide dogs. 

Taking place from Thursday 19 June to Sunday 22 June 2025 at Warwick University Conference Centre in the United Kingdom, the biennial conference gives different guide dog schools the chance to come together in one place for an inspiring few days of learning, networking and collaboration. 

Focussing on the theme of ‘The Power of Partnership’, this event for guide dog professionals will feature a range of internationally respected speakers and industry leading experts who will deliver an exciting and thought-provoking range of plenary sessions and workshops on all aspects of the guide dog sector.
