Benefits

We wouldn’t be able to change the lives of people with sight loss without our people. That’s why it’s important for us to provide a variety of benefits that reward our colleagues in a way that suits them and recognise the hard work and contribution that they make.

Looking after your mental, physical and financial wellbeing

Mental wellbeing

  • Take a break with our generous annual leave allowance: From the start of your employment, we offer 26 days. After three years of continuous employment, this increases to 28 days plus bank holidays.
  • We understand that sometimes it’s okay to not be okay - that’s why we have an Employee Assistance Programme. Our Employee Assistance Programme offers a freephone confidential helpline to provide unlimited access to advice, information and face-to-face counselling support when you need it.

  • We have dedicated Wellbeing Buddies in each region within Guide Dogs. They're colleagues and volunteers who are here to listen, confidentially, if you’re having a bad day or need someone to talk to.

  • We have Menopause Champions. These are colleagues and volunteers who are here to listen, confidentially, if you’re having a bad day, struggling with peri/menopause symptoms, or need someone to talk to or get access to resources and support.

Physical wellbeing
